I want to give my kids seating choices and the chance to be their best selves. In order to help them in their success I want to give them options for seating that helps them focus on learning. I've requested various fidgets, wobble seats and wobble cushions for my wiggly ones as well as bouncy bands and balls for the kids who would otherwise bounce around the room. I added backless stools for my kids who rock back in their seats. The squishy squares and scholastic news subscription are for my reading area (where students can retreat when things get too busy in the rest of the room or just when they want to read:). We only get one 45 minute once a week, I want to give them the opportunity to move throughout the day so that they can focus on learning rather than feeling antsy. So many of our kids are labelled (negatively) because they need to move, they have physical energy that needs an outlet.
