I am a Special Education teacher in the High School. I co-teach English 9, 10, 11 and 12 as well as a pull-out English for kids in all grades. Because of my unique role in the building, my room takes on all sorts of purposes. It is an English classroom; a study hall; a quiet place to take tests; a safe place for kids who need to talk; a spot to de-escalate when students are over-stimulated; and even a coffee house (as part of a new fundraiser my kids are doing this year). It is a space that has to be as versatile as possible to fit many situations!
