I have a very diverse group of 6 and 7 year old 1st grade students. The majority of them are ELL (English Language Learners). The school in which they attend is located in a low socio-economic neighborhood. Our school is a Title 1 school. This means that 80% or more of our students are on Free and Reduced Lunch.
