I am asking for new painting supplies for my students. I am a first year Art teacher at a small school that makes a huge difference in the lives of the students that are enrolled there. Many of my students have experienced emotional distress, trauma, and suffer from financial hardships. The time spent in Art Class really helps these students release these emotions in a positive way through creativity. The Art teacher from last year left paint for these students, however it was not stored correctly. Last week, I opened up the paint to find that mold had grown inside several of the bottles and it needed to be thrown out. I would like to continue teaching my students lessons on color theory, color mixing, and using techniques in the style of famous artists but can not do so without new paint. I am asking for your help to get new paint supplies for these students so they can continue to express themselves in a healthy, artistic way.
