I have chosen four Kindle Fires for my project because they will allow us to have a listening center that is interactive and modern. With so many audiobooks and apps, it is becoming more and more challenging to use CDs in the classroom. A listening center that is app friendly in addition to a math center will allow me to use a variety of audio books and math apps in the classroom. I am excited for this opportunity for my students and this is my FIRST EVER donors choose project (I am in my seventh year teaching). I love to see my students grow, evolve and make new discoveries. Your help is greatly appreciated. Two-thirds of my school are English Language Learners. It is so important that I incorporate technology into the classroom to facilitate the English learning experience. I want my students to make connections that the use of technology just isn't for games and entertainment but for learning. The accessibility of the Kindle Fire also allows for differentiation. Not all students learn the same and the various apps available will allow me to make sure my students receive the information based on their abilities with only room to grow! Let's Do This!
