The boxes themselves created a buzz of curiosity, and when I explained that these were their games to use in class, several students actually cheered. They couldn't wait to get started.\r\n\r\nWe've already woven the games into our classroom routine. For example, during a recent lesson on flexible thinking with numbers, students rotated through stations playing Set and Proof. One group quickly discovered that finding a \"proof\" was like solving a mini-puzzle that connected perfectly with our current unit on number properties. Another group working with Gobblet Gobblers began talking about strategy moves out loud—reminding each other to \"look ahead three steps,\" which mirrored the way we approach multi-step word problems in math.\r\n\r\nA specific moment that stood out was when one of my quieter students found a winning set in Set before anyone else at her table. The pride on her face was unmistakable, and the table erupted in applause. That spark of confidence carried into our next math discussion, where she raised her hand to share a solution she might have kept to herself before.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to use the games not only for math practice but also as part of \"Game On Fridays,\" where students apply the logic and strategy skills they've built throughout the week. The next step is having students design their own math challenges inspired by the games—helping them see themselves not just as players, but as mathematicians and creators.\r\n\r\nYour generosity gave us more than games; you gave us moments of joy, confidence, and collaboration that ripple far beyond the classroom. Thank you for investing in our students' learning.","fullyFundedDate":1750044051518,"projectUrl":"project/game-on-building-math-minds-through-pla/9408417/","projectTitle":"Game On: Building Math Minds Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Wells","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4036269"},{"teacherId":3407206,"projectId":9153300,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our Tonies project! It's been amazing to watch them gather around, choose a Tonie, and listen so intently.
