We are looking to add more materials to launch the second year of our Makerspace lunch group. Many students who attend this optional lunch choose to focus on art or explore various technology tools which is why we would like to add two Osmos with coding and creation sets and other art tools. Many students described our Makerspace lunch as the best lunch they ever had. Our Makerspace lunch allows for students to have time and freedom to explore their interests and passions without a deadline or an expectation of a successful product. During our lunches, we focus on the process, learning from others and their experiences, and taking risks. Adding these new materials to our makerspace lunch will allow my students more options to explore and create during this time. If this project is fully funded, we can also use these supplies in classrooms to enhance our current curriculum since many of the supporting Osmo apps are free. Kindergarteners through sixth graders can benefit with your contribution.
