Most students want to be comfortable and taking charge of their surroundings while learning. My students want to be able to sit on the floor and in a different seating as they do at home. Currently, students sit in different areas of the classroom such as another desk or table. They almost always make good choices when I notice them changing their seating, however, I realized they were more focused and motivated. The use of alternative seating will improve the student's participation, the ability to work as a team, and socialization skills. As they progress in the real world, they will not let their surroundings hinder nor stop them from studying or completing their work. The will be able to realize that they have the option to make effective learning choices. For the students who like sitting on the floor, beanbags will allow the students to be able to sit on the floor comfortably to remain focused. The wobble chairs are alternatives from the desks and chairs the students sit in daily. I'm looking forward to the additional motivation and positive learning reinforcement for my students.
