Every day of the school year I teach 28 second graders to love learning. My favorite part of teaching is watching the students grow, not only on their test scores, but as people exploring the world around them. My students are inquisitive second graders. They love learning new things and get really excited to have new materials to use to do that. The day we received our first Scholastic book orders was a day of celebration. They were anxious to get their hands on the few new books I had ordered for the class. We are in a school that is not always big on budget, but is always big on heart. We are family oriented and often have students' families and teachers' families coming to school to help with projects, activities, or celebrations.
