Students are getting more deprived of physical activity at school and at home, due to the increase of testing at school and screen time at home. Physical activity has a high impact on student's academic outcomes because it provides them the opportunity to release stress and cognitive load to then return to the classroom with an open mind to take in more knowledge. It is important to keep all learners active! As a first grade teacher I teach all subjects, including PE. My school does not have a designated PE teacher for elementary students, so the classroom teachers are responsible for teaching students PE. I would love to better my PE time with my students by providing them with meaningful PE lessons and activities using fun and active equipment. With this PE equipment, my students will have the opportunity to engage in various sports or physical activities that are of interest to them. Which in return, will activate refreshed and eager minds to learn new things in the classroom.
