Good day everyone,
I work at a Title 1 school. Unfortunately, we don’t count with a library. At the moment our culture for literacy is not what it should be. I want my classroom and eventually my school to be the place where reading literacy is valued by all the kiddos. I want my 4th graders to know my goal is not just for them to read but to develop a relationship with literacy that will last them a lifetime.
Please help me promote a positive environment that will build a foundation for good reader habits and eventually a love for reading. I want my kiddos to know that reading can be incredibly fun and in the long run literacy will open many doors for them.
Please help me create a space within my classroom that is welcoming to reading. I want my kids to be excited to have a cozy area with plenty books ( most importantly), chairs, a rug, pillows, and lighting.
In advance; I would like to go ahead and thank you, it truly means a lot.
Thank You,
Mrs. Zepeda
