Access to a mouse will make it easier and faster for students to operate the Laptops. Many students struggle to use the tracking pad causing us to waste valuable class time and effectively eliminating many potential tools that could be employed to provide comprehensible input in the target language as well as tools that students can use to create performance based projects and demonstrate their developing language production skills. A mouse will also enable us to use the laptops to integrate a wider variety of interactive technology and essentially open up new worlds for my students. Knowledge of 21st Century skills is essential for future success.
