I teach 1st grade and I LOVE IT! The sparkle in the eyes of my students when they learn to read independently is priceless. First graders are always so eager to learn. They are like little sponges, they soak everything up. Our school is 76% free/reduced lunch, so you know our resources are limited. That doesn't keep us down. We are a National Blue Ribbon School and we couldn't be any prouder of our students. We have high expectations for all of our students. We don't accept anything but their best and believe it or not our students meet those expectations.
