We are working to complete the numerous labs left in our curriculum to include Gel Electrophoresis, Gram Staining, DNA Microarray, bacterial transformation, and growing both E.coli and mutant yeast in the lab for studying risk factors of cancer and mass production of insulin. My students are completing lab work in high school that I completed in college. We need just a few items to restock our labs so we can complete our curriculum successfully this school year. Because students have been learning through hands-on experiences, we have occasional accidents in the lab which causes glassware to be broken. We need beakers and disposable pipettes replaced to complete the lab work for the remainder of the school year. We also need several gallons of distilled water.
