I am so excited to see their faces when these materials become a reality for our classroom. I thought about each of my students as I looked for resources to build our morning station experiences. Our literacy tubs will be filled with the requested games to grow spelling and vocabulary skills. The math and logic bins will challenge students with individual and partner games like Mastermind, Amaze, Izzi, and IQ Twist. Math, literacy, and art can come together in our creativity tubs. I can't wait to see their faces when they see the Lego Station, or the 3D art project I picked out for a group of students who will undoubtedly squeal with delight when they see it. All of my students' interests are represented within this project. The 30 minutes we spend together each day before the morning bell rings shouldn't be spent trying to decipher another worksheet. I know this will be the perfect way to get their brain cells buzzing the minute they walk in the door.
