The materials that I am requesting for my students will not only help them with reading and fluency but will also foster their love for reading. The listening center will allow the students a chance to hear books being read to them while fallowing along with their own copy of the book. Most of my students come from low income households and do not have the luxury of owning books and being read to at home. This new listening center would be a terrific asset to our classroom and will allow my students the opportunity to be successful in reading.
