Our classroom currently has a bean bag and book shelf in our library. As it is not the most welcoming area, it is difficult to encourage students to spend time reading books. As we all know, reading, especially in the early years, is so important and can be a large predictor in school success. To get my students ready for Kindergarten I am trying to make my library more inviting and a space students truly want to be in. This couch is the perfect area for students and is so inviting they will want to read there! I can't wait to provide my class with the materials they deserve and a space they can feel comfortable in, while learning.

About my class
