I teach a chorus class for a growing program in southern Alabama. We have grown from just a few students to almost 70, with a functioning Show Choir and Concert Chorus. Our opportunity and impact would be greatly influenced by a keyboard (with stand and protection plan) in our classroom. A piano or keyboard is the center of a chorus rehearsal, and the best concrete example for countless music related lessons. A quality, sturdy instrument will make a huge difference in our ability to rehearse, perform, and invite guests to work with the fabulous students in our program. With a keyboard, I can teach and enforce basic piano skills, voice lessons, sectional rehearsals, and impact various other groups on campus in need of quality vocal rehearsal/development.
