These materials will allow the children to explore musical instruments from different cultures. They will be able to use it to study music around the world. A water table would mean that the children can play with water year-round. They will be able to improve their hand-eye coordination by learning to pour into containers and dump water out. They will also be able to improve their fine motor skills. A couch in the literacy area would make it more comfortable and inviting for children to sit and look at books. It is important to get children interested in reading at an early age. Children spend many hours away from home and having an area that they feel comfortable to go in will be helpful in their transitions on a daily basis. The children in my class love books and would love a cozy book area.
