Today's children live busy lives. They are always on the move! In my classroom, I embrace their need to move through flexible seating. Studies have shown that students who can wiggle and move during instruction and independent work times are more likely to complete their tasks while not being distracted or distracting others. Funding this project would mean that EVERY student in my classroom would have a flexible seating choice! I've already acquired some backless seating (using file crates), balance balls, and stability cushions. Students currently share these items. When I receive these supplies, there will be enough for every student to choose something different each day!
