I teach 6th graders at a Title 1 school where most of the students are failing or are at risk of failing. They come from difficult home backgrounds and most are on free or reduced lunch at school. My students may struggle daily, but they truly enjoy school since for some it's the only consistent thing in their lives. I want to create an environment where my students receive their education in a secure, comfortable and motivating place.

About my class
