These 3D pens will help establish a maker-space in our school library. Librarians are reimagining and reinventing themselves with all the changes in technology. One major new direction is the creation makerspaces in our school library. Makerspaces are where students can go to create, build, and explore. They foster student initiative and student creativity as they learn on their own. Students can the makerspace to complete school projects. Makerspaces need the correct materials to stimulate them. Students in our school can use 3D pens to complete their 'Relief Sculpture' project which involves raising 3D elements from a flat base. Students can also use the 3D pens to create small characters from literature they have read to recreate important scenes for a project. They could also add interesting element to posters exemplifying themes from a novel. There are numerous ways the 3D pens can help students learn while stimulating their creativity.
