Like an old linoleum floor in a kitchen, our classroom library needs some serious updating! Students complain that the books are boring, and sadly, I have to agree. With the addition of highly relatable books to our bookshelves, a passion for reading, that often wanes during the teen years, will be reignited. Having a new classroom library will lure students into realizing that there are books more fun than Facebook, more snazzy than Snapchat and more instantly satisfying that Instagram. Having access to these high-interest books will be a game changer for my 6, 7 and 8th grade students. Please help us to get our read on!
