I teach in Southern California, in an inner city charter school that serves the local community. Almost every student comes from families that are immigrants from Latin America. Their age range will be 4-5 year Olds. For almost all, they will be the first generation in their family to have the chance to go to college. For many it will be their first time attending school all day.
