My pre-k classroom is filled with curious, energetic four-year-olds who are excited to explore and learn! For many of my students, this is their first school experience, so I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where every child feels valued and successful. I teach in a state-funded pre-k program serving children from diverse backgrounds and needs. Many of my students come from low-income households, and several are multilingual learners developing their English skills. At this age, children learn best through play and hands-on experiences. Our days are filled with building, creating, pretending, experimenting, reading, counting, and exploring. These experiences help children develop early academic skills while learning to communicate, solve problems, build friendships, manage emotions, and become independent. With the right materials and opportunities, their imaginations and potential are limitless!
