My students are from an Apache reservation. The majority in my class are considered Title I or at-risk students. They are all very loving and endearing children that would benefit from some assistive technology in the classroom. Some of my children are even living in government subsidized homes and can only afford the bare minimum. Many families do not have technology at home and lack transportation to use it at the public library. I am starting with 26 students this year in my Early Childhood Special Education classroom (between the ages of 2 and 5). This number will grow bigger as we continue to accept kids with special needs throughout the year. All of my students have speech delays. Most of them have cognitive delays. The other students have emotional disabilities.
