I’m immensely proud at how my students stepped up to the challenge of distance learning. It has taken our district and teachers countless hours to make sure our students have the technology needed to attend online class, do prescribed readings, and tackle assignments. It is important that my students hear my voice and have the option of quality lessons they can review on their own time. Our current technology allows for basic online classes but falls short when it comes to creating a screencast. Going from a white board to an interactive platform would allow the class to create nice and engaging recordings of lessons. This project would provide a hybrid laptop that includes the capability of a laptop, a strong enough video processor, camera, and most importantly, the capability to write on the screen. This would definitely make distance learning more like the face-to-face classroom they all desire to return to.
