Many of my students are gifted and they are in the School for Advanced Studies program at our school which gears them for college. We are an inner-city school in Los Angeles and a lot of our students come from low-income families. My students are some of the brightest kids in the school. However, they lack financial resources that many privileged students at private schools receive. They need a well equipped classroom. Equally important, I will be facilitating the fencing club where students will learn the sport of fencing. My vision is for our students to be introduced to this new sport and in the future more students will join in the new sport throughout the school and have an impact on the entire district. This project will have an impact on all my learners, students with disabilities, English learners, and gifted students.
