Motivation in learning is key! Flexible seating is a fantastic way to motivate students. I aim to create a student-centered learning environment where students are engaged, make positive choices and enjoy being at school! Flexible seating would provide my students with choice, comfort, movement and an environment to collaborate. A larger rug is requested so that my students can all fit in one place. I plan on using this for whole group lessons, as well as, providing students with a place to spread out and work together or independently. There are wobble cushions and folding seats that I plan to use with lowered tables. I would like to provide a variety of seats, so students have different options. I can see how choice, comfort and responsibility will positively affect the daily work of my students. I feel this will keep them engaged, teach them community and increase their motivation each day!
