My students are high school 9th - 12th grade. They come from a school where 100% of the population qualifies for free/reduced lunch. Most students in the music department have a 12 hour day at school every day. Our concert band starts at 6:45 am every day and our after school practice ends at 6:00 pm every day. The students at this school simply work harder than everybody else and their dedication to their school, and more importantly to each other, is unmatched. My students might have struggles at home but their work ethic is an inspiration for me as their teacher. Put simply they are the best kids around.
