Our students live in a community that was greatly affected by Hurricane Sandy. These are amazing kids that have learned how to overcome hardships, and still keep a great spirit. We have a limited music program in our school due to funding, yet the eagerness and desire is high. Many of them will go through life never knowing what an outlet music can be for them. My hope is that by creating a guitar program for them, they can add fun and music to their lives, and hopefully learn a skill that they may not have had access to otherwise. The music program I had when I was younger changed my life. I would love for this program to be able to do the same for others.
