Basses can be difficult for students/parents to rent or purchase from a music store. Currently we have enough basses for students to perform in class, but that is only a small portion of making music. Having these basses will allow those students who may not have had the chance to be in orchestra, the opportunity they never thought they would have had! Having enough basses for students to take home and practice while still having enough at school will greatly increase their skill on their instrument. The basses are the rock of the orchestra, providing the rhythm for the rest of the orchestra to play along with, as well as playing the bass notes (no pun intended) for the rest of the orchestra to tune to.
