We are a suburban school with approximately 492 students that reside in the Midwest. My students are love independent work time as I often offer options that suit their learning. Any time I project a game from the computer, they are actively engaged and the words “awesome” and “cool” are heard throughout the lesson. I recently switched from tape/cd players, to I Pods for a listening station and it was amazing at how much more independent they were in working and how much more they were able to get done. I hope with the addition of I Pads in the class room, my students can accomplish more by the ease of using apps that are quickly accessible and user friendly.
