Since I began teaching, I have learned that many students do not have access to books at home! In a world that is dominated by technology, I want my students to have the ability to pick up a book in my classroom library. I want them to get lost in the adventure the characters are having or imagine the beautiful words the author wrote come to life. Donating to this project will allow my students to develop a love and passion for reading by allowing me to purchase classroom library books. The new books will allow my amazing kids to engage their brains and passion for learning even when I'm not by their side. By having a new library, I could offer them the opportunity to borrow a book to read at home to a family member as well as in school. Also by having new library books, we will allow the students the opportunity to choose from an array of books with different topics. This will allow students to read books that interest and engage them, while help developing their reading skills. This is an opportunity to change kids lives in a way bigger than any pencil, packet of problems, or video ever could!
