Having inclusion tables in my classroom would make a huge difference in my students lives. I have a small classroom and currently have single student desks. I have some students who are in wheelchairs or can't sit in a regular desk. These tables would allow for better inclusion of my students with their general education peers while working in groups on different projects and assignments with peers, and working one on one with staff members with plenty of room. It's hard to promote inclusion when students are sitting by themselves. Classroom inclusion for special needs students actually benefits disabled and nondisabled students. Classroom inclusion goes beyond giving students with disabilities the quality education they have a right to, it includes including their general education peers. Please help me make my classroom a more inclusive classroom.
