The district got an online program to help students with they reading skills last school year. But it was until January this year that the Spanish version was released. Since my bilingual class started "late" to use the online program, the recommended time for them is 3 to 4 hrs a week to have a year growing. Most of my kids do not have Internet access at home and the Spanish version does not work in smartphones. We have 2 desk computer provided by the school and 2 tablets I got from my pocket, but they are not enough to make sure each kid has the opportunity to practice the recommended time during the week. The kids LOVE THE PROGRAM and do their best everyday to try to finish first so, they can have the opportunity to use one of the computers or tablets. It breaks my heart when someone tries hard and we do not have a device available to be used. If we could get this tablets, we could not just practice reading skills, we could also use it for other subjects like math and science.
