Receiving these magazines weekly will provide my students with access to current events written just for kids. We will read them together in class during social studies, and read them independently during free reading time. Just imagine the excitement of receiving a magazine of your very own in class each week! The addition of a few old, tattered magazines nearly caused a stampede in my classroom during the first week of school. For my students, many with little or no access to age-appropriate reading materials outside of the classroom, this resource will truly make a difference. Your donation will spark excitement for reading complex and interesting texts that students can use both in and out of school.
