Our school is located in San Diego, California. We serve some 600 students in grades TK5. Over half of our students are local residents, and the rest of our student population is enrolled through district's Voluntary Enrollment Exchange Program (VEEP) or School Choice program. My students come to school ready for a challenge each day and have fallen in love with programming. Learning to code helps to grow more than their programming skills but also requires them to think critically and problem solve each step of the way. We work in collaborative groups to help them see the importance of a collection of thoughtful minds.
