The students in my classroom are wonderfully bright young men and women. They work hard in the classroom, but because of low socioeconomic status and other variables, do not have a lot of support at home. This requires that I work hard to build background knowledge and entice them to be lifelong learners and try to build a love for learning and especially reading. My school is a National Distinguished Title I School and a National Blue Ribbon Elementary School. It was named a Superstar in Education by the Delaware Chamber of Commerce and was named a Positive Behavior Star School by the Department of Education.

About my class
