My students come from a tough neighborhood in East Oakland. Their families work extremely hard to support their students in school and at home. A lot of times, students come to school unprepared and without the necessary supplies. With the math boards and paint cups that you will provide I will be able to reach all of my students who learn in very different ways. Creating a learning environment that supports student learning is extremely important to keep my students interested and engaged. As first graders, they are still learning how to read, so the mobile seats and comfortable cushion will provide the personalized place for their reading and emotional growth to thrive. Also, providing them with a comfortable learning environment helps get them excited to learn. I am confident that these supplies will help my students reach their educational goals!
