As a 6th-grade bilingual teacher in Wisconsin with over two decades of classroom experience, I know firsthand how resilient and wonderful our students are. Unfortunately, local schools are facing unprecedented resource and staffing shortages, making it harder than ever to provide the extras—and sometimes even the basics—that kids need to succeed. To ensure my students don't miss out on essential supplies, nutritious snacks, and memorable field trips, I am stepping out of my comfort zone to ask for community support. I’ve put together a wishlist of items that would change the dynamic of our school day. We welcome and deeply appreciate any form of support, whether that's an item from the list, a budget-friendly alternative you find elsewhere, or a small contribution toward snacks.
