About my class

Each day in my classroom is a new adventure. I have the privilege of working with an amazing group of children, ages 7-12, with a varying range of special needs. My students face challenges in the area of cognitive, speech, motor, and social skills. Many also struggle with sensory processing. This directly impacts how they interpret and interact with the world around them. Their unique viewpoint has changed who I am as both a teacher and a parent. They challenge me to provide them with access to meaningful experiences and curriculum that will allow them to grow as future world citizens. Each day, my students inspire and guide my classroom team as we work together to learn academic, social, and life skills. We are a unique family that works together to meet each daily challenge head-on. In short, they are our heroes as they show us the true meaning of conquering every obstacle, no matter how large or small.
