Research has proven students need to move around throughout the day, and have a variety of seating options available to them. My 4th grade students need alternative seating - not just the regular classroom chairs - so they can maximize their learning time! When students are allowed to sit in something that provides a little movement, and personal comfort, they are more focused on the learning task, and not disrupting the learning of others. Every student is different, and requires different ways to meet their personal comfort or task based needs. By helping fund this project, you are enabling our students to take responsibility for their learning, and allow them the movement and comfort they need to be successful.

About my class
