Sewing is good for the soul. I have been introducing How-To projects into my library curriculum and the students have shown tremendous interest in the sewing projects. I only see the students every four days and they want to continue working on their projects on the in-between days. I love that both the boys and girls are showing equal interest in learning to sew. Being able to borrow embroidery hoops and sewing needles from the library will greatly increase the time they can work on their skill. The embroidery floss needs to be replenished at a rapid rate the the variety of colors will expand the range of pattern choices. Some of the students have expressed interest in learning how to sew on a sewing machine and the addition of the two sewing machines on the wish list will help further the life-long skill of sewing.
