My school changes more and more each school year. When I first started teaching 4th grade, the parents purchased a copy of City of Ember for their student. When that became difficult, I started asking libraries and former students to borrow their copies. Now, that isn't working either. We are now a Title I school, meaning we are a low economic building. I've asked the PTO for money to purchase these books but because they are fundraising to get technology into our building, I was denied. I then asked the District for funding for these books but they denied me as well. As you can see from my picture, I have purchased all the books for my classroom library all on my own. I cannot afford any more. I need help to get this amazing story into the hands of my kiddos.
