We are one of seven districts within Spartanburg County. Our composition embraces urban, suburban, and rural areas with a population of approximately 53,000 people. The school system consists of one child development center, nine elementary schools, three middle schools, one ninth grade school campus and one high school. District enrollment is approximately 11,500. Our classroom consists of 20 fourth graders: 10 female and 10 male, 11 of which are Caucasian and 9 of which are African American. 2 of my students are served for speech, 2 receive ELA resource services, 1 is served by the Autism specialist, 4 are in the gifted and talented program, 6 receive intervention services (RTI), 1 attends art visions, and 4 attend music visions.
