I teach in a high poverty area in which there is often minimal support at home. With that in mind, it is important that I make every minute count when my students are at school. Many of them, especially my English Language Learners are below grade level in both reading and math. They benefit when they have multiple resources to assist them during lessons. Often times this is challenging because resources are limited or out of date. It is important for me to capture all of my students interests in order to help them become successful learners. Since these students struggle with math and reading, when they are able to use new resources, especially technology, their love of reading and mathematics is enhanced and motivation becomes captivating. My goal is to create life-long learners who are constantly seeking out new challenges.
