These chairs and mats will provide multiple seating options for my students and a needed respite from sitting at desks. We'll be able to vary our routine by working on academics or taking breaks in more sensory-friendly areas, creating a fun, welcoming space for students who rarely find settings that are designed with their unique needs in mind. Additionally, since five of my seven students use wheelchairs, these items will provide them with safe, comfortable spaces to stretch out -- and, in the case of the gym mats, move around -- as they relieve pressure on their posterior and work on motor skills.
