In a world where technology reigns supreme, it is important for children to be knowledgeable about a variety of tools so that they can engage with their world. My goal is to further my students desire to be globally aware and provide them with technology that allows them to become explorers, researchers, scientists and activists. With a set of tablets and protective cases, my first graders can learn how to use technology to explore the world. They will use the tablets to dive deeper into our heavily interactive ELA, science and social studies units. Their new found knowledge will be used to make an impact in their communities and in the world.
