My first grade students need comfortable space to learn. A large rug is needed for our whole-group reading and learning instruction. In addition, students will use this space to spread out and explore STEM activities, math centers, and many other enrichment opportunities. In addition to a large carpet area, my students need other flexible seating options to best suit their learning styles. Wobble chairs and cushions will help to address the flexibility of choice for my first graders while still providing the structure that they need. There is nothing better than seeing an emerging reader comfortably reading a new book!
